Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson is looking for a board certified or residency trained Criticalist to join our growing team! We desire a skilled, compassionate, confident Criticalist who enjoys creating a true relationship with clients, patients, and referring DVMs, and who also works well in a team environment. This candidate would, ideally, also enjoy teaching as we are looking to grow an internship program and work with local veterinary students on external rotations. Emergency veterinarians are needed for relief shifts at Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson.  If you are an experienced emergency veterinarian, or someone interested in venturing into emergency medicine, we want to hear from you! Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson is seeking a locum Surgeon for dates in or around mid December to mid February.  A variety of schedule set-ups are available.     VSCOT is a busy Emergency and Specialty hospital offering surgery, internal medicine, neurology/neurosurgery, dermatology, emergency and critical care, and radiology services in an award-winning, state-of-the-art facility.  Our specialists and emergency veterinarians take a “one hospital” approach together with our experienced administrative and technical staff to provide the highest quality compassionate health care and service to our patients, pet owners, and referring veterinarians.   Our 32,000 sq. ft. hospital features a separate emergency entrance and lobby, 16 exam rooms, 4 surgical suites, video-endoscopy, mobile and stationary color-flow Doppler ultrasounds, a large central ICU with oxygen cage, Pulmonetics ventilator, Telemetry, portable ultrasound unit, in-house lab, spiral CT scanner (Toshiba 16 slice), MRI (1.5 tesla Hallmarq Petvet MRI), I-131, and digital radiography.  In addition to standard full blood analysis, our in-house lab equipment includes a colloid osmometer, lactatometer, coagulation monitoring (PT/PTT), microscope, and blood typing/crossmatching. Antech Diagnostics also works out of our hospital providing rapid turnaround for many reference lab tests. Our multispecialty hospital is open 24/7, 365 days per year providing care to a very wide range of illnesses and injuries. This position starts at $130k as straight salary or a prosal option can be discussed.   This veterinarian could an experienced veterinarian, a new graduate or general practitioner looking to gain emergency experience and knowledge in a collaborative environment with access to specialists (internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, surgery, radiology, dermatology, and emergency and critical care) as needed. They would be primarily responsible for incoming cases that are not life threatening but may not be able to wait to see their primary care veterinarian or, in some cases, they may not have one. Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson is seeking an emergency veterinarian (or residencey trained or boarded criticalist) to fill the role as a hospitalist at our busy emergency and referral practice in Tucson, AZ. This veterinarian would be responsible for providing inpatient care and support to patients with a wide range of medical conditions who have not yet been or who are not going to be transferred to other departments. This position would be primarily weekdays with no overnights or weekends and straight salary of $150k for 3-4 days per week.
